Today I had the pleasure of shooting at the BARK dog rescue’s 9th annual walkathon at Bruce Pit Park ( http://home.ican.net/~933435/UpcomingEvents.htm ) If you have a dog you MUST attend this event yearly! Amazing prizes for the most amount of pledge money collected and for just $25 you get access to all the events that go on including agility demonstrations, free dog grooming, FREE PHOTOS!!, ask the vet, ask the trainer/behavior expert, not to mention all the free goodies you get as well as all the neat dog related things for sale! Unfortunately this year it was freezing cold out with some snow so you can expect the turnout was not as good as it should have been! If you get a chance please consider donating to the rescue, they really put a lot of work into rehabilitating dogs and finding them great forever homes and the best part is they take the worst cases, abused and abandoned dogs that often have bad behavior issues. This is a tough responsibility for a no-kill shelter! Your money will be put to good use! Be sure to check out their website for more information.
On another note, I had a blast photographing the dogs and their people! Everyone who paid their $25 registration fee got the chance to have either themselves and their pet or just their pet photographed at no extra cost. They will be receiving their 5×7 print in the mail shortly! I tried to pick only a few… but here are SOME of my favorites, because I respect the privacy of my clients I have only posted the “dog-only” photographs! Enjoy!
